Salsa in the Gardens

The Grandfamilies of GRGA Miami had a wonderful time this weekend as we celebrated Salsa in the Gardens!

This multicultural event was led by Nova Southeastern University's Hispanic Osteopathic Medical Students Association (HOMSA). These future doctors taught the basic dance moves of Cuban salsa and gave us some lessons in Spanish and Cuban culture. We enj

oyed a fun stretch and warmup by the Super Soul Steppers of Miami Gardens.

This event was set up to enrich Grandparents by promoting exercise, movement, and exposure to multicultural activities to promote family bonding.

Huge thank you to Dr. Sherrica Taylor, program director at Nova, Walmart, the Super Soul Steppers, Councilman Robert Stephens, III, and GRGA Board Members and Volunteers for helping us stay active, healthy, and connected!
